All'Auditorium il destino bussa alla porta (10-02-2011) - Ricchissimo il programma domenica 13 e lunedì 14 febbraio all'Auditorium Conciliazione di Roma Saranno Francesco La Vecchia, direttore e Maurizio Turriziani contrabbasso, con l’Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma ad interpretare il Concerto per Contrabbasso Op. 3 di Koussevitzky il quale oltre che nell’attività direttoriale si cimentò anche nella composizione. Nel brano in programma la capacità lirica dello strumento viene messa in evidenza con melodie ampie e passaggi virtuosistici di agilità. Composta fra ottobre 1809 e giugno 1810 Egmont op. 84 è una musica di scena scritta da Ludwig van Beethoven per l'opera omonima di Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. L'ouverture precede nove pezzi indipendenti per soprano ed orchestra sinfonica. Soggetto dell'opera è l'eroica storia del conte di Egmont, che sacrificò la propria vita per manifestare il suo attaccamento alla patria olandese in occasione della repressione spagnola attuata dal duca d'Alba nel 1568. Goethe stesso affermò a proposito della composizione che Beethoven aveve espresso le sue intenzioni con una genialità notevole. Stessa genialità per la Quinta Sinfonia in Do minore op. 67, (composta tra il 1807 e l'inizio del 1808) che il grande compositore tedesco portò a termine dopo una gestazione lunga e travagliata. Il primo movimento ("Allegro con brio") è forse la pagina più celebre e drammatica scritta dall'autore: inizia con il famoso tema di quattro note che, secondo le parole dello stesso Beethoven, rappresenta "il destino che bussa alla porta". domenica 13 febbraio ore 17.30 lunedì 14 febbraio ore 20.30 Roma.
